But I have been doing a bit of quilting when I can. It has been tough however. Once again I took in a foster dog. But only for a week until his permanent foster home could open up. I had thought I might be willing to keep him, but the first day he was here my husband’s back started hurting him. His sciatica acting up….so he could barely walk and was supposed to go on a business trip. That didn’t happen. Instead, I had him in the living room propped up with his computer and a heating pad and he did his conferences online. So he did get some work done this week. As of now, he is doing a bit better, but still not over it yet. And the dog…well….with my husband requiring some extra attention, I went ahead and sent him to his new home as scheduled. But he was a sweetie.
As far as quilting goes, I have been getting a little done. I quilted a quilt for a friend of mine–I actually started quilting it in December, but had some inspiration problems. No photograph of that. It was a personal thing. I started making some blocks for Judy Laquidara’s Scrappy Challenge. Here is my first one. I only have about half a dozen done right this minute.
And I am also putting a top together that has hearts in all colors of the rainbow. So I decided to make a center block to match. Actually I made two. I think I have a plan for the second block, but in the meantime, It helped me use up scraps.
What have you been doing?
