Stash Report 2012 – Week 27

What have I been doing this week?  First thing, I knocked out my row-by-row.  Of course, that didn’t come from my stash.  However, I came up with a cute little log cabin heart pattern to use.  I made it up myself.  Would anyone be interested in a copy of the instructions?

Next came finishing the purses for my daughter and her friend.  They were here for only a few days in May and I didn’t have time to get them done while they were visiting.  I got one done over Quilt Camp in May, but just finished the other this week.  Found some packaging for them and hope to ship them out today.

Then I got to quilting on the dog quilt which is on the frame.  No yardage usage from this project either.  I am not done with a row yet, but have made the important “how will I quilt this” decisions and gotten started.  I hope I have the fortitude to finish this quilting!  I always get ambitious when I choose custom quilting, then later figure out how much I have let myself in for.  I call that my “what was I thinking?” moment.  I am doing some feathers, and so far am not satisfied with them.  But I never am…..

And yet, I wasn’t done with my quilting efforts.  I also worked on this heart quilt top which I completed yesterday.  A group of five us (two pairs of sisters and me) have been friends for several years.  One of us had a heart attack last fall, so the other four have been working on a little hug for our sister.  The remaining four of us made heart blocks.  I assembled the top.

And now, the Status of the Stash:
